The peanuts that fall to the ground without cracking on the tree branch are then cracked by going through a number of roasting processes. Peanuts that fall to the ground as closed are then made ready for consumption with their mouths open. However, it is known that this artificial process changes the taste of peanuts.

This pistachio variety, which has been very popular in recent years, is one of the fruits of the bittim tree. The first version of Siirt pistachio is the fruit of memengic called bıttım. This fruit is also the building block of the famous menengiç coffee. One of the most distinctive features of Siirt pistachios is the use of lemon salt during roasting. It is less oily than pistachio. It is not preferred in baklava and desserts. It is mostly consumed as snacks in between meals.
